Exchange Mapping

Hi Guys, We have symbol mapping, but typically this needs to be appended with an Exchange suffix to request data from a data-feed. I would be handy if we could add Exchanges as well Symbols and check/setting the Exchange mapping. Along the similar lines, it would be handy to be able to add a new currency. For example, SGX is available as an exchange, but Singapore Dollars are not available as a currency.

What datafeed / broker are you working with?

Some allow requesting custom maps with exchange added as |exchange, like eSignal.

Hi AdamP,

I'm using eSignal with IB as a broker.

I know I could probably get real-time from IB... but it's history I need at the moment and IB don't supply much and cripple download if you ask for much.

Some of my models need a year's history... but I need much more than that to work out allocations.

So I have eSignal with their extended history for going live. My testing... well let's just say I have a lot of off-line data going back many, many decades.

Thanks for the head's up on the adding currency. I would also like to be able to add Exchanges and edit their symbol maps too.
