From time to time when I attempt to load new tick by tick data nothing happens. I can let it "load" for 45 minutes and not get a chart. I close the chart, and restart a new one and the same thing happens. Then other times, a new chart will load after 5-10 minutes, sometimes after 2-3 minutes.
If you have other charts open and drawing data, it isn't possible to determine if the historical data is loading or not just by looking at bandwidth.
What would be really great is if just to the right of the connection status on the control center, (where it says loading historical data $AUD/JPY 11/28/11 - 12/02/11) there was a progress bar showing the status of the "loading" (just like the progress bar in gmail when you are loading an attachment) so we could tell whether we are wasting our time or not.
That would be really cool/helpful.
