PositionIsFlat override for Strategies

Considering how often Strategies that we know to be flat, as for example one that opens the next day, after an ExitOnClose the previous day, opens the next day, and seems to be in a state where it treats that position as in-the-market, can we have a specific override, which tells a Strategy to start from this instant (when the override is activated), as being flat, and not have to wait for whatever magic NT does to supposedly sync the position? I guess NT will have to do some magic to keep its records consistent, but that should be able to be internally handled, no?
