Selecting multiple drawing objects at once

It would be nice is one could draw a rectangle shape to select more than one but less than all drawing objects. Like a Venn diagram. Anything that is in the rectangle (even if not completed covered by the rectangle) would be selected. It would come in handy when trying to delete some old trend lines, or move or unlock them. Hope you guys can add that feature. I'd really appreciate it.
