How hard would it be to include a VS add-in or NinjaTrader VS project type to handle the integration details with Ninja Trader? Being able to use either the standard NinjaScript editor OR Visual Studio as the primary development environment would be a huge help to us serious programmers. Thanks.

Full Integration with Visual Studio IDE
Many of us are professional programmers who use Visual Studio, as well as a number of commercial VS add-ins, like JetBrains' ReSharper to really speed through coding and testing. Furthermore, most programmers configure a sophisticated tool like Visual Studio to be setup just the way they like it, so they are at their most productive. By contrast, the NinjaScript editor, while not a bad tool pales next to Visual Studio in functionality and sophistication.

If you write your indicator in Debug mode, that is exactly what happens: you get put into the Visual Studio editor and environment. Once you are done, you can turn debug mode off and compile the indicator from the NInjaScript editor to get a release version.Originally posted by SatChitAnanda View PostMany of us are professional programmers who use Visual Studio, as well as a number of commercial VS add-ins, like JetBrains' ReSharper to really speed through coding and testing.
