    backing up NT7 DB

So I've been looking into a convenient way to back up NT7 DB. I use multiple instruments, and each of them lays heaps of DB files (tick/minute series). So when I just try to straightforwardly archive this gazillion files on my good ol' laptop with 5400 rpm HDD, my file manager freezes up. I've written a nifty little batch file that archives all subfolders separately in a given folder and optionally removes all uncompressed subfolders with source data after that.

Not sure if many people would find it useful and .bat files can be dangerous in general, but would it make sense to share this tool? NT file sharing only for NT indicators but this is a .bat file with a few lines of text.

    Hi billitin,

Thank you for posting. Unfortunately it is our policy to not host any .bat files due to the inherent risk of it. Someone could download your file, reprogram it, send it to someone else with ill intents under the guise that it was your program with good intentions. That would not be a desirable risk to take on.

Sure, I did have a thought it might carry a lot of risk with it.
