NT7 has great charting capabilities which allows you to plot a variety of different instruments on the same chart. There are times when you want to switch some or all the instruments of the chart. A typical case is the rollover period where you change contracts.
It would be great if NT had a feature where you could right click on the instrument in the data-series dialog box and have the option of changing that instrument, while retaining all the indicators, panel positions etc related to that particular instrument. Adding/Deleting instruments disturbs the indicators and panels and IIRC the primary series can not be deleted.
You could potentially achieve the same effect using a chart template but that is a long-winded way of achieving something, and results in a mushrooming of templates.
