I know that there is now an import of metasotck data within NT 7, and appreciate the hard work that has gone into making NT7 what it is, but this imports all of the selected files, from the first date that the data is available.
What I would like to know is if there will be any way to programatically add to existing data held within NT.
This would then enable me to access my Metastock/Reuters data and append missing data to my existing data held in NT rather than importing the whole lot again. Basically it would allow me to run an update 'end of day' data process. Also if we have programatical control we can output errors like stock splits and removal of instruments, so that these issues can be handled manually.
This is currently very frustrating as I have a 'huge' amount of Reuters data from numerous worldwide markets, and it will take longer everyday that the import is run.
