Hi folks, (I cant remember if I have posted something like this before..lol)
What I would like to see (besides the earth, universe and everything in it
) in NT7 beta is what I call a Container group objects feature.
Rather than just opening up a workspace that opens up all the open objects such as Charts, DOM, Market Analyzer etc etc and then all these objects individually show up on the task bar which sometimes can be a pain as well as an advantage.
To me, a Container is basically a separate window in which we can add things or objects such as Charts, DOM, MA etc etc, BUT it only shows up as one item on the task bar.
The advantage to this is that we can choose which monitor to move it to and drag the Container to it all in one hit, plus it should be able to resize accordingly.
Then if we save our workspace, we can then save the container which is part of that workspace. Thus making the User being able to control the placement of objects being grouped in a container.
Each container may have one instrument (or a few instruments) but it may have a Daily chart, 1 Hourly Chart, a 15 min Chart, a 5 minute chart, along with a DOM and Time and Sales box too for say a CL contract.
Thus we could do the same for ES in another container and we can easily move the group of each anywhere that suits our placement to our LCD monitor setup.
To also be able to undock (or vice-versa) an object from a container would also be nice and then when we save the Workspace, everything gets saved accordingly.
Well, hope all that makes sense, I notice multicharts has a similar feature, but fall short that they only have everything in one container it seems, and you can only undock that object or redock that object.
Would be good for NT to have the edge on this type of flexibility.
