It looks like based on the thread title that you are connecting via Zenfire. The Zenfire connection only supports futures. Therefor you will be unable to chart currencies with the zenfire connection.

The Nymex Gold Future contract is listed under "GC" in the Instrument Manager "Tools>Instrument Manager"
