    Chart time

Is there a way I can configure Ninja charts to display chart time using my time zone?
I`m in EST, but Ninja displays everything in CST, so everything is 1 hour off my time zone.
It was fine until this weekend time change, 1 hour forward. Everything Ninja displays now, is 1 hour behind my time.

    thanks

    Hello lesbud,

Can you please tell me to what data feed you connect.

If the data feed does not provide native timestamps, real-time data is time stamped as per your PC clock's time zone.

While NinjaTrader is closed, please synchronize your PC clock. Start NinjaTrader, create a new chart and check if the issue persists.

I use Barchart data feed for CME eminis.
I did synchronize my PC clock (with Ninja closed), no difference.
No matter what I set my PC clock to, Ninja displays the chart times 1 hour behind EST, in CST.
ie. it`s 8:30am EST right now, but all times in Ninja are 7:30am (no matter what my PC clock shows)

I used to get CME data feed from Thomson Reuters for another application. That application always displayed the chart time in EST according to my PC clock, and that`s where I am. That`s what I`d like Ninja to do.

BarChart provides native time stamps on real-time data.

I suggest to contact BarChart and verify how real-time data is time stamped.

Barchart said they send data the way they receive it, and if I want my Ninja to display it using my time zone time, to talk to Ninja.

It`d be nice if my chart times were synchronized with my PC time, not CST which makes everything 1 hour off my clock time.

It seems, it can`t be done?
Is there a data provider that would provide that?

I tested BarChart and it seems they use your PC clock as well to time stamp real-time data.

Ok, so your PC clock is set to EST, however the current price candle in your chart lists CST. For example, it is 11:15 AM EST, however the time stamp of the current candle in your chart lists 10:15 AM?

If so, can you please reboot your PC and check again.

              I did reboot, no difference.
I uninstalled Ninja and deleted the files it leaves behind, installed it again... no difference.

Can you please check if your PC clock is setup correctly. Does it include the time change of last weekend (US put the clock one hour forward this weekend)?

If the issue remains, please send me a screenshot of the chart that displays the current bar with a different time than your PC clock.

I think I have it figured out.

As weird as it is, I noticed that for some reason when I "automatically synchronize with Internet time server" it set my PC time 1 hour off from where it should be (to CST not EST) so I always did it manually.
I had Eastern Time Zone selected for my PC but for some reason, it seems, "something out there" thinks I`m in CST even though I have Eastern selected. The odd thing is my other programs display proper time. It`s just Ninja problem.

I figured out how to fix the problem.

I`m in EST, that`s GMT -5, so I changed my PC location time zone to Atlantic which is GMT -4. Synchronize again and bingo.
Now my PC and Ninja display in EST and matches my local EST. Hmmm....

I really don`t understand why this could happen, but at this stage I`m glad the charts and my clock display the same time.
Now since my puter is no longer in EST (where it should be) but Atlantic, let`s see what else may go wrong.

                    Hello lesbud,

Can you please try the following steps.

While NinjaTrader is closed, please ensure your PC clock is set to EST time zone. Subsequently manually modify the time, so it will reflect the correct EST time.

Start NinjaTrader and check if the issue persists.
