Export to excel and bad column seperator

NT6.5 Export to excel does not work with open office (have not checked with excel because I don't have it) because numbers have a comma as a thousands separator eg. 22000 is written as 22,000. Unfortunately, it thinks that 22 is in one column and 000 is in the next ... is there an option to deal with this?

    Thanks,
    Matthew.

    Hell Matthew,

I suggest to check if you can disable the comma separator in Excel Open Office somehow, so those values are not placed in two columns.

Check the Excel Help Documentation or contact Windows Support for instructions.

But the data is comma separated. If I tell OO not to use commas as a seperator then there will only be one column. The problem is that NT is using the column separtor as a non-escaped character in a cell. I would be surprised if excel does not face a similar problem importing the data because the data is ill formed.

I do not experience the issue on my end when I export data to Excel.

Data in the Account Performance tab is not formatted by a comma on my end when thousands are reflected, see screenshot.

Have you tried the orders tab? See attached.

I see. Unfortunately there is no setting in NinjaTrader 6.5 that can avoid this.

However, it is resolved in NinjaTrader 7, since values are not reported using comma's.

I'm sure that's great news for anybody with access to NT7 :-)

Unfortunately we do not accept any new NinjaTrader 7 beta requests at this time. However, I suggest to keep an eye out on the link below.
