    Feature Request: How to make setting Time Properties more user friendly

    Many places in Ninja Trader the GUI permits a trader to set the value of a TIME property. ie: Chart Properties: "Session Begins (local time)" & "Session Ends (local time)

    It is clear to me that you are using code similar to TimeSpan.Parse(txtSessionStart) to see if the characters the traders entered is a valid time. Unfortunately the TimeSpan Parse isn't great at recognising valid times. ie "6:00 AM" is valid but "6:00AM" & "6pm" are not valid, but they should be.

    In Ninja 7.0 please consider changing this.
    Use the DateTime.Parse() Method to parse the users entry & then extract the time portion with the TimeOfDay method. eg:

    private TimeSpan tsBoxBegin = DateTime.Parse(@"07:00 PM").TimeOfDay;

    It is way more robust & effective way to validate user entry.

    Hope this helps
    Dave
