Chart recalculation?

I have a suggestion for future versions of NT. Since an indicator may not calculate using any tick or bar data (except for bar targets), such as indicators that take user inputs and then draw lines, text or whatever, why can't the indicator just start drawing without restarting the chart and losing real time indicators? I realize it is not possible now and might be hard to implement unless we could add a line to our scripts to turn that feature on. Something to think about. I feel if you can manually scroll a chart back and draw lines, there should be no reason it couldn't be done in code without disrupting the chart.
