Please Include Real Functionality for IB Friends & Family Accounts

thank you for your answers.
Yes, allocation profiles are managed from inside TWS.
But I believe Ninja can tell TWS which allocation profile to use.
This is the way other platforms work: the user simply specifies an allocation profile, identified by a string. This is just one parameter to pass to TWS.
For traders with a FA account, which don't need to select another sub-account, but only to specify the allocation profile, this should work in a very simple way.
Just look at how SC and MC handle this: one string parameter to choose the allocation profile.

With this issue of sub accounts being locked to just one account, I need to see the positions of the other accounts. Is there a way to refresh NT Positions tab? As that always doesn't match the IB positions.

Thanks for the feedback this is already on developments list to consider adding in a future version of the software.

As far as the positions tab. NT must query these one at a time from IB. This can take time. Therefor no way to force other then a disconnect and reconnect other then waiting for them to resync.

Hi, because NT is at the mercy of IB fixing this limitation, those of us who have sub accounts can't see the sub accounts in TWS and from time to time the positions listed in NT positions tab is incorrect.

We need to know if the positions on each of our sub accounts are correct and if it takes NT 3 seconds to cycle through IB to refresh positions, so be it.That is alot better then us closing down NT & TWSand restarting IB & TWS. Give us this stop gap of refreshing our positions until this limitation is resolved by IB.

Should take somewhere around 10s to a minute or so. Dependent on a lot of factors.

If it takes longer then 10 minutes to update this would not be expected.

NinjaTrader 7 does not support this. FA accounts will have support in NinjaTrader 8.
