    Instrument Manager

    Just a very minor annoyance. I can't tell you how many times I have gone into Instrument Manager entered a symbol in the search box and hit enter to search. The problem is that the default button remains the OK button so rather than searching, it exits IM.

    Is it possible to move the default button to Search once text is entered in the search box?

      Definitely a good idea as it happens all the time to me as well...

      Thanks

        I would also appreciate a fix for this.

          Completely agree with poster. Focus should be by default on the Search button when this window is opened. Instrument manager UI usability needs some serious attention. Further, I'd like to have following to make it even more useful:

          Add more attributes that are searchable for instance:

          * Exchange
          * Expiry

          Also, after just adding a symbol to my instrument list with specific expiry, please don't reset the expiry attribute when I do a new search. That is so unproductive. For example, I currently do a search for Name = YM, change the Expiry to nearest contract of 03-09. I add it to my custom Instrument list. Then I change the name to ES, hit search, I add it to my custom Instrument list. Doh! Ninja changed the expiry I just set for last add. I now have YM 03-09 and ES 06-09 in my custom instrument list. I'd rather Ninja be smart about my last add and not smart on its own assumptions which are annoying.
