This message is what the Forum produces when (apparently) trying to read a post that has been deleted: "Sorry, you are not authorized to view this page. For assistance contact the site administrator."

This occurred when trying to read a link in a Notification I received, but when looking at the actual thread (rather than the specific post), it seems to align with clicking a link to a post that was subsequently deleted/removed.

Perhaps that should be reworded to state that the post has been deleted, rather than a message related to authorization or otherwise?

I recall this same message being the case some year or two ago, so it's been around for a while.

Thank you very much for your post.

This error is indeed caused due to how a deleted post is still available in the database, but would no longer be accessible to non-moderator accounts.

In most cases, these are posts that were either posted solely as spam, to promote third-party links or were later modified to do so and were thus removed.

I've reached out to our IT Team to see if this message can be modified to provide a clearer error message.
