Alert Order Options

Hello,

May be I am missing something but I want to use a line to completely close an existing position that is being managed by an ATM.. The Alert order options don't have a "close" option that would do this.. See attached.

Hi Attila, thanks for writing in. The alert system will only allow entry orders to be placed. Ill submit a feature request to our development team to allow exiting positions with the alert.

Any progress in this front? I'd like to be able to exit positions with alerts as well. Ie. exit a trade if price crosses an indicator or close all positions at x time of day, etc. Same for copying alerts between charts. Also the ability to create multiple playback accounts. This would allow users to test multiple alerts and strategies in playback mode simultaneously.

Hi, thanks for posting. This feature request is tracked under ID SFT-5560. This is still an open feature request but I will add a vote to this for you.

BUMP..!!.. How hard can it be to add this option..???!

A LOT of the time I don't want to use ATM's because of liquidity runs.. spikes that take stops. So I prefer to use an alerted line with a close bar beyond line stop but this complicates trade management. IF ATM's allowed a bar close option that would help as well.

There are no updates regarding this feature request at this time.

As with all feature requests, interest is tracked before implementation is considered, so we cannot offer an ETA or promise of fulfillment.

Deciding on features for future releases is not a simple black and white decision. There are many factors involved including but not limited to:

• Demand which is measured by objective user requests and subjective discretion on the part of our Product Management team.
• Feasibility
• Developer bandwidth
• Current projects in the queue
• Economics

BUMP..

The BIG advantage line exits have over an ATM is you can specify a bar CLOSE to avoid liquidity grabs.. So please: add "close" to line/indicator alert order options..
