    Saving Workspaces

Saving a workspace doesn't save all the Format Data Series properties. It obviously saves the Instrument and Interval Settings but it doesn't save the Range Settings. This is really frustrating because when I open a workspace I have to modify the Range Settings to load Bars Back. Please add this to your list of enhancements.

    Thanks,
    Mike Winfrey

    Hello,

I cannot reproduce this. Please provide exact steps so I can reproduce it.

By range, do you mean the range of ticks in a range bar?

Ben take a look at the Format Data Series Properties. There is a Range Settings area in that dialog box and in that area is a Bars Back property. That doesn't save when saving a workspace.

        Hello,

I right clicked a chart>Format data series, and changed my days back from 15 to 1 then when to File>workspaces>save, then File>workspaces>Close, then File>workspaces>Open, and the setting of 1 was saved.

Please provide exact the exact steps you are taking.

Ben please ... I said this twice and now a third time. It won't save the Bars Back property.

Put a value of 200 in the Bars Back property and then save, close, and reopen the workspace. The chart will not be opened with the Bars Back setting of 200.

            Hello,

Sorry, I misread your post. I tested the bars back (not days back) and you are correct it does not save.

I will notify our development department about this.

            Thank you!

                  Hello trader1512,

                  Thank you for your post.

Do you have a backup that contains your workspace that you could restore from?
If so, please do so by following the steps listed at the following link: http://www.ninjatrader-support.com/H...ABackupArchive

Unfortunately, I'm not sure why the workspaces would have changed. Can you elaborate on what type of changes occurred?
