Range bars at end of day

I just noticed today an odd occurrence at the eod of an intraday RangeAlt chart (eod = midnight). The final range of the day does not complete if it is interrupted by a change of day. I have checked several days and it always seems to occur. Screenshots below for pre and post midnight bars of a 16 tick chart (1.60 points).

This is as expected in regards to the "Alternate Range Bar Implementation (RangeAlt)".

OK. It just seemed odd that it would do that on a continuous chart where there had not been a break in data or a gap in prices.
