do futures have settlement time like stocks?

I plan on trading ‘futures’ soon on NT8.

After each trade, do I have to wait for the money to come back into my account before I can use it again for trading, like with stocks?

When trading stocks, I usually wait 2-3 days.

Thanks for writing in today.

Trades should be cleared rapidly by your FCM and with most brokerages so you can make multiple trades on a given day, but make sure you ask the broker you decide to use directly for their policies. Typically to send or receive money from an account, there is a waiting period.

The 'Pattern Day Trading' rule does not apply to futures traders.
