Record & upload videos in MP4 , not in FLASH format

FLASH video format is obsolete, vulnerable and abandoned (dead) codec already by 2020:

...Adobe Flash is a deprecated[1]multimedia software platform u...
    (wikipedia)

it requires users to install vulnerable codec and etc....
    Why not use MP4?

NinjaTrader support team should move to MP4 format i think. (in addition, might be good if you will open an youtube unlisted channel, where you could upload the videos which you record for individuals /help, thus it can be easily viewed even from mobiles.. also, will never be deleted)

    Hello ttodua,

    Thank you for your note.

We are aware of the depreciation of Flash and have moved to a new recorder for the videos we make for our users that uses MP4 format at the end of last year. Older videos will be assessed for updating by our Marketing team.

I have added a request for you regarding the Unlisted YouTube channel - this request may be tracked with the number SFT-4531. Since it's not directly to do with the platform itself, this would most likely not appear in the release notes for a particular release if it is put into place.

Please let us know if we may be of further assistance to you.

Even if flash format is no longer working, there should be options how to fix it. I don’t know, have you tried to convert videos on sites like youtube downloader and converter , choosing the necessary extension and to reupload them? As a idea this should work, because you are converting them in what you need, also the quality remains the same. By the way have a look on cloud convert, as a second option. Is mainly a platform where you can convert from mp4 to mov/aac/webm/wav, it has more than 200 formats supported. Hopefully I think that my recommendations will be of help for you, if you still need.

        Hello werper,

        Thank you for your reply.

Our videos going forward since 2019 have been in MP4 format. Older videos will be assessed for updating by our Marketing team. I do not have a workaround for videos that have not been updated to MP4.

Please let us know if we may be of further assistance to you.
