Unification of DOM colums

So, we had the DOM from day 1. Columns seem to have been added as a bit of an afterthought. They tag on the side, off to the right and don't really gell with the rest of the dom. The standard 3 columns waste huge amounts of real estate with the empty space around them (and vertically due to the grid padding). if the C for centre dom was moved, I see no reason to centre the standard 3 col layout and all the columns could be pushed back together.

I'd like to suggest that the current standard price and depth/order management columns be made columns that can be added into the same grid as user defined/coded columns. This would make for a far better user experience and lots of screen real estate used more efficiently. if you could add a row height parameter to reduce the padding also, that'd be great!
