This is old, but here is the Issue:
Drawn by an indicator, horizontal dash and dot line sizes and gaps between them vary depending on the bar width. If one increases the bar width or compresses the chart the indicator drawn horizontal dash and dot lines will eventually become solid lines. Non-horizontal lines and all lines drawn using the drawing tools do not have this issue.
Try this on a simple candle chart:
- Attach the PriorDayOHLC indicator - The default OHLC lines are either dash or dot or a combination - Hash lines also impacted
- Now increase the width of the bars (Alt + Down Arrow) or compress the X-axis. You will notice that the sizes of the dashes and dots and their gaps depend on the width of the bars.
This is not true for inclined lines or horizontal lines drawn using the drawing tools.
The sizes of horizontal dashes, dots, and their gaps should be independent of the bar width and unchangeable, same as that in Drawing Tools.
Cheers!
