Let's say I have a chart with price bars in #1 panel and two different oscillator panels below; that when I select a vertical line, that line will extend through all the panels. Same with an X Highlight Region tool.

Making it so that vertical drawing objects cover all chart panels is already being tracked under request ID# SFT-654. Please reference this internal tracking number if you ever have questions regarding this feature request.

If you will add your charts primary data series to each of your chart panels a vertical line and or X Highlight Region will then show in all panels...
I usually add this data as a transparent line in each chart panel....have set to "show global draw objects" on this data in all panels.

Would it be possible for the development team to make it so the drawing tools drop down menu could be placed as a sidebar (if desired) with just the icons rather than having to install an add-on?

Thanks for the post.

This is already possible if you are using the latest version of NinjaTrader 8 with the indicator 'Drawing tool tile'. This indicator allows you to place a customizable tile on your chart, which you can move to a location that suits your needs best.

To add this indicator to your chart, right-click and select Indicators. Find 'Drawing tool tile' in the 'Available' list then click add. After clicking add, the properties for this indicator will be configurable. You may then expand the 'Drawing tools' section of the properties to check the drawing tools you wish to have available. Click OK to load the chart with the indicator.
