TopStep Connection

Hi Guys, i am having so much trouble in getting my TopStep accounts working through ninja Trader - I have followed all the steps in Rithmic and configuring the new connection in NT

Everything turns green, accounts show up but I have the error "bar timer waiting for real time data before starting"

I have been trying to get this sorted for over 2 weeks now

If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated

Thank you for the message.

If you go to the Control Center > Log tab, does it give any messages or clues as to why this is happening?


Do you have any other active connections? If yes, go to the Control Center > Connections > and disconnect from all other connections but the Topstep connection.

• Then wait a moment for things to start updating.
• Then, you could reconnect to your other connections.
  • By default NinjaTrader will use the data from whichever connection happens first. So if you have multiple connections, make sure to connect to the Topstep one first.

If this wasn't the case, then you need to reach out to Topstep's support team directly and get them to activate the real-time market data on your account for the Exchanges and Instruments you trade.

• Once the data has been activated, restart NinjaTrader and then reconnect and the charts and indicator will be updating.

Definitely no other connections in place so maybe the real time data has not been activated?

TopStep have enabled the data and it is now working fine.
