VWAP / Anchored VWAP values (past) fluctuate wildly

I've had a difficult time using vwap (tiki vwapoc) and anchored vwap (LDT vwap bands) due to them being unpredictable(?). My first question; would using vwap indicator on a volume chart effect the calculations? And second, when I have the indicator up, if I move to another tab or change my chart settings the vwap numbers and lines come back totally different. For example today, I put in an order at what I though was a standard deviation line from vwap (LDT VWAP bands). I check out another tab and come back and my order is no where near that line.

Any insight into this would be appreciated. I feel like I cant trust what's on the chart now. I've used the default settings on tiki and session settings to a specific time, but its the same story, different charts different VWAP.

Thank you for posting.

To clarify is this a VWAP indicator you got from a 3rd party? If so I would suggest contacting the vendor directly to verify if they have had this reported by other users and if so if there are any settings that can be applied to eliminate this behavior.
