Loading Data Endlessly - Unable to add strategy or indicator

Hello, I am receiving these error messages in the attached screenshot that don't allow me to add a strategy or even an indicator to the chart. I don't understand what historical data is trying to be loaded or even the request it says I made.

To resolve it myself, I have:
    - deleted the old platform and downloaded the newest platform
    -cleared the cache
    - restarted my computer and modem/router

nothing seems to be working and it's a bit frustrating. Any help would be massively appreciated.

    Hello natadanquah,

    Thank you for reaching out.

Please create the following chart to use for testing. This removes many variables to ensure nothing is preventing the chart from working as expected
    • Go to the Control Center > New > Chart
    • Select the ES 03-24 (also written as "ES MAR24")
    • Make it a 1-minute chart
    • Set the 'Days to load' to 5
    • Make sure 'Template' in the top-right corner is set to < None >
    • Set the Time frame > Trading hours > To "use instrument settings"
    • Click OK to make the chart
    • Does this chart load in as expected?
    • Is the Historical Data showing? Is there Real Time data?
    • If you open the Chart Trader panel, does it show values for the Ask and Bid quotes or just 0's?
      • If this chart loaded in and is working as expected, how is it different from the other chart?

If the Test Chart didn't load in, please provide more information on the questions below to look into why there is no historical data showing.
    • What broker or market data provider are you connecting to for Real-time and Historical Market Data?
    • Are you connected to your Market Data provider and see the green circle next to its name?
    • Do you get Real time market data? Once you open the chart, does it start plotting from that moment in time or just nothing loads in?
    • Do other instruments like the NQ 03-24, or YM 03-24 Load in or do no Futures instruments work?

We look forward to your reply.

Erick, Thanks so much for your response, it's very very appreciated. Here's what I see thus far after following your instructions in bold
      • Does this chart load in as expected?Chart does load! I don't see any errors initially.
      • Is the Historical Data showing? Is there Real Time data? Only shows real-time data, historical data does not appear (See attachment)
      • If you open the Chart Trader panel, does it show values for the Ask and Bid quotes or just 0's? Ask/Bid values appear!
        • If this chart loaded in and is working as expected, how is it different from the other chart? It seems to work, but when I change the data series type to what I need, I receive the original error messages once again.

If the Test Chart didn't load in, please provide more information on the questions below to look into why there is no historical data showing.
      • What broker or market data provider are you connecting to for Real-time and Historical Market Data? Tradovate (through apex trader funding) - connecting for both Real-time and Historical data.
      • Are you connected to your Market Data provider and see the green circle next to its name? Yes, and the circle is in fact green (see attachment)
      • Do you get Real time market data? Once you open the chart, does it start plotting from that moment in time or just nothing loads in? Real-time data pulls in immediately, no delay. Only plots that moment in time, no historical data.
      • Do other instruments like the NQ 03-24, or YM 03-24 Load in or do no Futures instruments work? All instruments work, but no historical data pulls in, only real time

Not sure if this helps, but I also tested the Ninja platform on a VPS with a different machine ID and I don't run into any issues when I load charts for the exact same account.

        Hello natadanquah,

        Thank you for your message.

On your VPS, are you using the same "BWT Super Renko" type bars in your Data Series?

I suspect what is occuring on your Desktop may be due to 3 party/template components.

Please try testing your platform in Safe Mode to verify if this behavior is being caused by a 3rd-party add-on using the steps below.

Safe Mode will prevent NinjaTrader from:
        • Loading workspaces and connecting on start-up.
        • Loading custom assemblies (i.e. 3rd-party add-ons and NinjaScripts)
        • Getting instrument updates from the server

To enable Safe Mode, you can use the following steps:
        • Shut down NinjaTrader.
        • Click on the Windows Start Button
        • Search for and Launch NinjaTrader (Safe Mode)

Once you have opened the platform in Safe Mode:
        • Reconnect to your Data Provider
        • Please open a new chart with no custom bar types/indicators/templates and test for issues.

Does the behavior persist on this blank Workspace in Safe Mode?
        • If not, please try opening your previous workspace by going to the Control Center > Workspaces drop-down. It may already show as being open. Hit 'close' and do not save and then re-open it again for your windows to re-appear. You will notice that no 3rd-party add-ons are running in Safe Mode.

Does the behavior return on your regular Workspace in Safe Mode?
        • If not, restart NinjaTrader, and test for the behavior on your Workspace normally once more with your 3rd-party add-ons available. If this reintroduces issues, I suggest rebuilding your workspace, adding 1 add-on at a time.
        • Please keep track of what add-ons you add back in to identify the cause of the behavior if it returns.

If it does not return, it indicates the error was isolated only to your other Workspace. I also suggest making a backup of your workspace so we can restore a working version of it if the issue returns. You will want to keep this backup file on an external hard drive or uploaded to a cloud drive such as Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive.

To create a backup, go to the Control Center > Tools > Export > Backup File. Additional information about backups may be read in our Help Guide linked below.

Please let me know the results of this test. I look forward to your response.
