General questions regarding the web vs desktop app and more

OK, the beginning of my issues stem from the fact that I run a Linux computer. Fedora 41 KDE. I have not been able to figure out how to get the desktop app to work. When I try to set it up in bottles, I get an error message, so I've given up on that. I thought I'd switch to TV since they support Linux, but they don't support Fedora. lol. So I'm stuck using the NT web app, which hasn't been the worst experience. So I'm not complaining. Not really. But, I feel like I'm reaching a crossroads and need to clarify some things before I proceed.

I updated my market data to CME LVL2 and now realize I need to also get the Orderflow Plus addon otherwise it seems almost pointless. So my first question is, will I have full capability if I get the Orderflow Plus running on the web application? Or do I pretty much need the desktop app?

And the answer to that would guide the next decision as to getting the lifetime account plan or not, which includes the orderflow plus add-on. For that price, lifetime plan, market data, etc., are there other platforms others prefer? I'm expecting not since this is a NT form. lol. I've been quite happy with NT thus far, I'm not really looking for an excuse to leave or anything like that.

On a side note, are there any advantages to running NT through TV? From what I've seen across the interwebs, It doesn't really seem like it. But I'm curious what others take is on it here. I'm by no means professional. I'm very much not a professional. But I do take it seriously and hope to be able to make a living trading at some point, or at least supplement my income in a meaningful way.

So even if I revive an old windows laptop or buy a new one, all the information gathered here will be put to good use. I promise.

The web app doesn’t support all the features of the desktop app, particularly advanced tools like Orderflow Plus. If you want full functionality, you’ll need the desktop app. As for the lifetime plan with Orderflow Plus, it’s a solid deal if you're happy with NT, and while there are other platforms out there, NT is well-regarded and might be your best choice if you're serious about trading. Running NT through TradingView doesn’t offer significant advantages either; NT’s built-in tools are far better for trading. If you’re comfortable with NT, sticking with it would be a good call.
