Question about cost of NinjaTrader plan costs (human please)
Hello, I looked at NT plans, and I'm confused by the inclusion of commissions in the pricing. I access NinjaTrader through my broker (not NinjaTrader). I have been training on the free NinjaTrader platform for many years. Now I want to convert from the free version to the paid version, while keeping my current broker. Does NT charge commission fees on top of the commission fees I'll pay to my broker? Or is it just a flat $99 per month no other fees to content with? Thank you.Tags: None

Hello patpat ,
Thank you for reaching out.
Buying a NinjaTrader account plan (ex LifeTime, Monthly) would only lower commissions for NinjaTrader Brokerage account.
If you have an account with a 3rd party broker like IBKR, they would still charge their own trading commission fees.
An account plan is not to be confused with the "Multi-Broker" subscription which is needed to trade live with other brokers on NinjaTrader.
Please let us know if you have any other questions.Erick P.NinjaTrader Customer Service

Thank you. I am getting close to trading live so please help me understand the fees I'll need to pay. My broker is AMP Futures. So I'll have to pay a Ninja Trader Monthly account fee plus a multi-broker subscription fee? Is that what you stated? The Ninja Trader account fee, monthly, is $99, correct? May I ask what to ask to pay for a multi-broker subscription fee? Would it be more cost effective for me to switch from AMP to Ninja Trader for my broker? I've been with AMP for many years, and have all my bank accounts linked so I prefer not to have to try and figure out how to move everything, unless the multi broker subscription fee is prohibitive.Originally posted by NinjaTrader_Erick View PostHello patpat ,

Hello patpat,
Thank you for reaching out.
When using AMP on NinjaTrader, the process is different.
1. If you are an AMP client with a previously purchased LifeTime License key for NinjaTrader 8 for use with AMP, then this License key will be all you need and no further account plan/payment would be necessary. You would just need to import your Key to your NinjaTrader account/login. For the steps on how to do this, please follow this link:
How to migrate your license key
Once imported to your Portal, you will need to restart the Desktop app and login again (same credentials as your Portal)
In the latest version of NinjaTrader, to set up multiple connections, you would need to enable "Multi Provider Mode" and then configure the connection.
Once the platform is open, go to "Tools" -> Options -> and make sure that the "Multi Providers" option is enabled.
Then you can go to Connections -> configure, and add the "CQG" connection for your AMP account.
2. If you do not have any type of previous license key for NinjaTrader:
As of March 11th, 2015, NinjaTrader can no longer offer new authorization to trade with AMP/CQG on our platform.
In order to use NinjaTrader with AMP/CQG, you would need to have a live license key prior to that date. Otherwise it will not be possible to trade AMP on NT8.
