Questions Regarding Trading BTCUSD on Ninjatrader

So, I am interested in trading BTCUSD. I have a Ninjatrader account and use them as a brokerage as well. I saw some individuals saying that they had to link a Coinbase account to their Ninjatrader account in order to trade BTCUSD on the platform. I am new to crypto and just wanted to confirm this was the case. I saw that you could not purchase the market data for BTCUSD straight off of the Ninjatrader website, so I am beginning to think that what others said was true. If anyone has any experience with this, feedback would be great. Thanks.

Thank you for posting.

Correct you can connect to Coinbase within NinjaTrader however this will only provide data which you can use to trade within the Sim101 simulation account and does not support trading a live account at this time. Unfortunately we do not currently have any support brokers available that allow trading the Crypto Currency assets within NinjaTrader at this time. I have included a link below that will take you thru the steps to create a Coinbase connection within NinjaTrader if interested.

Yes, to trade BTCUSD on Ninjatrader, you would need to link a Coinbase account (or another supported crypto exchange) to your Ninjatrader account. This is because Ninjatrader doesn't provide direct access to crypto market data, so linking an exchange like Coinbase is necessary to trade cryptocurrencies.
