Drawing Objects Missing

    Drawing Objects Missing

    When I logged on to the platform this morning I found that my drawing objects were missing ie. absent from the charts and the Drawing Objects window. How can I get them back?
    Why did happen?
    Has anyone else had this happen?
    Is this a Forex related issue or does it happen on other instrument types?

    It only happened on some of my charts on 1 particular workspace. I can get the indicators back from my saved templates but the annotations I cannot.

    Can anyone help me please?

    Thank you for posting.

    Please try restoring your workspace from an older save using the 'Restore workspace' feature:

    Complete the following steps to use the "Restore workspace" feature:
    1. Navigate to Tools -> Database Management
    2. Select "Restore workspace"
    3. Select Restore to be directed to the location of the recovery workspaces
    4. Workspaces will be organized in folders with the same name as the workspace
    5. Double click the folder of the workspace you want to recover and then select the recovery file with the date/time that you want to recover. You'll want to select a file larger than 1kb from the available options.

      You'll notice I said "...some of my charts..." I don't want to restore the entire workspace, only "some of my charts" ie. not all of them. How do I do that please? The reason I ask that is that I'm concerned that if I restore the entire workspace I'll then have to add in all the recent annotations I've made since that version on all my other charts as well. Those other charts are ok right now so I'd be making unnecessary work for myself.

      Also my other questions were:

      Why did this happen? (which may lead us to make make sure that it doesn't happen again.)
      Has anyone else had this happen?
      Is this a Forex related issue or does it happen on other instrument types?

        Unfortunately, there is not an option to restore only specific windows within a workspace during this process. This can occur if there was an unexpected shutdown of NinjaTrader which does not allow the information to be saved to the workspace .xml file. This would not occur based on the asset selected such as Forex, Futures, etc.
