    App Notifications

Hi everyone. New to NT. I always did my charts on Trading View. So my question is about app notifications. In Trading View, if I had a triggered alert on a chart, I would get notified through the Trading View mobile app. That was particularly great because when that would happen I could just click it and look at the chart really quick from my phone and decide whether I need to get to my computer or not. Am I able to do the same with NT? I do have email and text notifications set up currently. But being able to get a notification for triggered alerts from the app so I can consult the chart really quick would be great.

    Thanks!

    Hello Adamcoin33,

    Thank you for your post.
At this time, alerts configured in NinjaTrader Desktop would not appear on our web and mobile apps.

If you are creating your alerts through NinjaTrader Web, we offer Push Notifications through our mobile app:
Please visit the links to the support articles below for more information about configuring alerts:Please let us know if we may be of further assistance.

Ok understood. One more question. I do have it set up to receive notifications by text and by email. I don't have to have NT desktop app open and up to still receive alerts right? I can set my alerts, close it and walk away right?

          Hello Adamcoin33,

Thank you very much for your reply.

The NinjaTrader Desktop application would have to be active and running to be able to submit alerts, as these are triggered by the platform directly.

Once the platform has been shut down, no triggers would execute.

Hi there. So I did end up making the app password. That did the trick. Thank you. Is there anyway to avoid having to have Ninja Trader open to get alerts? I like to set alerts through out the day. I am in and out of NT all day pretty much. So the only way for me to get alerts is if I have my laptop screen open the whole time? Cant let it go to sleep?

Only way I found was by running NinjaTrader on my ninjamobiletrader vps because then NinjaTrader is always open 24/7 inside the server even when my laptop is turned off.

Hey. So does that mean if I set alerts on charts via Ninja Trader desktop app. I can close the app, walk away, and still receive my text and email notifications for triggered alerts?

Yes, exactly! But only because it's running inside of the ninjamobiletrader vps.
