    Sell 1/2

I want to be able to automate selling half my position once it reaches x points, move the stop loss for non sold half to breakeven. Is this possible? Is it possible to also to then move from breakeven using a trailing stop.
    a) if possible, how do it in the mobile app
    b) if possible, how do it in the desktop version
    Thanks

    Hello gmolnar,

    Thank you for using NinjaTrader.

This is not possible to do on the mobile application, you can still use BE and TS as needed using the 'Bracket Order' and 'Stop Adjustments' section of the mobile app:

As far as the NinjaTrader Desktop application goes:

You can automate this behavior by creating an ATM strategy that scales out half of your position and has an advanced stop strategy for the other half.

1: Create an ATM Strategy for Scaling Out
    1. Open the SuperDOM or Chart Trader.
    2. Click on the ATM Strategy drop-down menu and select Custom.
    3. In the ATM Strategy Parameters window:
      • Set the Order Quantity to your total position size.
      • Set the Target 1 to half of the position size.
      • Define the Profit Target for the first half of the position.
      • Set Stop Loss to your initial stop level.
2: Enable Auto-Breakeven for Remaining Position
    1. Click on More in the ATM Strategy window.
    2. Enable Auto Breakeven:
      • Set Trigger to the number of ticks or points at which you want the stop loss to move to breakeven.
      • Set Plus to 0 or a small positive value to lock in a small profit.
3: Add a Trailing Stop for the Remaining Half
    1. In the same ATM settings, enable Auto Trail:
      • Set the Trigger to when the price moves a certain number of ticks in your favor.
      • Set Step to define how often the stop loss moves.
      • Set Frequency to control how aggressively the trailing stop adjusts.
4: Save and Apply the ATM Strategy
    1. Click OK to save your settings.
    2. In the ATM drop-down menu, click Save As Template if you want to reuse this configuration.
    3. Select your ATM strategy before placing trades.

Please let us know if there's anything else we can assist with.

Thank you for responding. However, what I'm seeing in Custom Strategy Parmeters in the Desktop Version is not matching your directions. I'm in Chart Trader. Referring to "1: Create an ATM Strategy for Scaling Out" Before I could set Target 1 to half the position size I had to 'Add" Target 2(otherwise the quantity stayed at 2)...but then what do i put for Target 2.
Referring to: Enable Auto-Breakeven for Remaining Position: 1st there isn't a "Auto Breakeven" to enable if that's what you meant. You said 'set trigger to' yet I don't see "Trigger". I also don't see "Plus". Under More I have "Reverse at Stop"; "Reverse at Target"; "Target Chase" Chase Limit with a dropdown' ; "Chase" "Chase if touch" "Stop limit for stop loss" and "MIT for Profit" then "Shadow Strategy is greyed out"...

          gmolnar,

Target 1 and Target 2 order quantity should match the total quantity for the order in general. If you're asking what you put for your 'Stop Loss' and 'Profit', this is completely your own strategy.

You'd want to click on the 'Stop Strategy' box and select 'Custom' in order to see the additional options for a BE or Trailing Stop.
