    Percent Profitable Calculation

Quick question that I couldn't find in the other posts about Percent Profitable.

This calculation is counting every entry trade as a separate trade correct? So if a position is scaled into each individual trade is counted as profitable if it is better than the exit price. Not if the aggregate trade ie. average price is better than the exit.

    Thanks,
    John

    Hello jlkramer16,

    Thanks for opening the thread.

Percent Profitable is designed to show the number of winning trades divided by the number total trades.

We should then expect the output to not have trades bundled together and have average entry prices listed. If you are observing anything like this, please share your results with a screen shot of the Trades and Summary results of a back test that depicts this.

Additional performance metrics can be referenced in the help guide here: https://ninjatrader.com/support/help...ss_metrics.htm

Please let me know if I may be of further help.
