Newbie question - no orders strategy test

Hi!

Just got started with this great software. Loaded up some data for a symbol(few years), coupled test strategy (MA crossover), ran strategy performance test (historical) but did NOT get any trades. Tried adjusting test account parameters but that didn´t work.

Suggestions anyone?

Can you clarify if you applied the strategy to a chart or did you run the strategy analyzer? In either case can you post a picture of the settings used.

Can you confirm that MA Crossover strategy used is the unmodified SampleMACrossover strategy?

Are you able to create a chart with your historical data?

What datafeed are you using for your data?

Hello again!

I loaded eod from Kinnect (for example GOOGL from 2007-01 and until today). In the same chart I configured the strategy sample MA crossover and then via right click in chart choose strategy performance and historical....but no trades.

Thanks for your reply.

Are you checking the "Enabled" check box when you apply the strategy to the chart? Following your steps and selecting the enabled check box I see trades on Goog daily bars (see attached) with the Sample MA crossover strategy.
