Thank you for your post.

This means that when you enable your strategy the strategy will take the position of the account. From that point forward the strategy will not concern itself with the account position.

To answer your question specifically; no, the strategy will not start automatically when you take a position on the account.

Adopt Account Position will adopt the account's position to the strategy when the strategy is manually enabled. There is no option for the strategy to start based on a manually placed entry.
