would it not be reasonable to request future strategy builder versions to do all this within the strategy builder [i.e.] so that unlocking would be unnecessary?

I would be happy to submit a feature request for the Strategy Builder. Before I submit the request, are you referring to being able to change an indicator's displacement within the Strategy Builder?

yes, i am referring to being able to change an indicator's displacement within the Strategy Builder.

the objective being to make charts created by the combined use of the strategy builder and strategy analyzer be as similar as possible to a just plain everyday chart [i.e.] user friendliness will be enhanced in that the process will be more intuitive ... and most important, having to go ''unlocked'' will no longer be necessary. hope that came out in english.

Thanks for clearing that up.

I have submitted a feature request to allow the Strategy Builder to modify the displacement of an indicator without having to unlock the code.

The feature request is being tracked with the ticket ID SFT-2087. This ID can be noted in the Release Notes page for the release of NinjaTrader 8 that includes this feature.
