That's the point, there is no Initialize() any more, there is OnStateChange with State.SetDefaults. Read the link, it will explain it.

Hello esignal,

NinjaTrader 8 no longer uses Initialize() or OnStartUp().
These have been replaced with OnStateChange(). The State object will hold the current state of your script. Each time the state of your script changes, this will trigger OnStateChange().

The Initialize() method from NinjaTrader 7 has become two states in OnStateChange() in NinjaTrader 8: State.SetDefaults and State.Configure. State.SetDefaults is where default settings for the Indicator or Strategy window are set. State.Configure is where calls that occur after the user has enabled the script will take place.

The OnStartUp() method from NT7 has become State.DataLoaded and State.Historical in NT8. State.DataLoaded will occur after all data is loaded so this may be supplied to indicators etc. State.Historical will occur just before OnBarUpdate is called for the first time.
