Windows 2012 r2 server + NT

Officially, NinjaTrader 7 supports only Windows XP (SP3 Required), Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8 or Windows 2003 Operating System. While sever 2008 support has not yet been officially adopted I will forward your support for this to our development staff for further consideration.

I just started using ninjatrader on windows 2012 r2 server for NT8
Just wanted to know if there is any additional software that I need to install for NT to run smoothly
Currency I do receive some very long error message sometimes when I run a strategy live and also when I first installed NT8

We are currently running 2012 r2 server for NT8 with a straight install nothing additional. Seems to run ok, though we believe there could be bugs in N8 not necessarily related to the OS: triggers not triggering.

NinjaTrader is stand-alone software. In order to give the best answer possible to your questions, I will need to see the specific error messages you are seeing.


Please send me your log and trace files, templates, and other files, so that I may look into what occurred.
You can do this by going to the Control Center-> Help-> Email Support.
Please reference the following ticket number in the body of the email: 1616824
Please include Attn:NinjaTrader_JessicaP in the body of your e-mail.
IMPORTANT: Please also tick all the boxes in the "Other Files" section.
If at all possible please also re-test with the built-in SampleMACrossover strategy, rather than your own strategy, to see if the same errors occur.
