Close Strategy Analyzer to cancel backtest?

Does closing Strategy Analyzer cancel a backtest? From what I see in logs, it does not cancel the test, as the longs keep coming until end of the date range.

If you are referring to the Abort button, this does not interrupt the iteration in progress.

With an optimization, this will allow any in progress iterations to finish and then will not run any further iterations.

This is for normal basic backtest, not optimization. There is no abort button.
I read in another thread someone said you close the strategy analyzer window, it will abort the running backtest process. That is not my experience so i was checking with you.

Closing the strategy analyzer window will not interrupt the backtest thread. This starts the tear down process, but other thread blocking processes will have to finish first, and non-thread-blocking processes will continue until they are done.
