Equity curve of opposite strategy

Hi, I have developed a strat with Strategy Builder that shows an almost linear negative equity curve. So I thought, let's just do the exact opposite of this strat. However the exact opposite does not show the opposite equity curve with the same settings on the same historic data. Excluding commission and slippage shouldn't this show the exact equity curve, just mirrored? I am wondering what is causing that this is not the opposite. Please help me understand this phenomenon. Hello philmg,

It would not necessarily be opposite performance depending on the order types used and the logic and when orders are being filled and at what price.

I would recommend writing the condition, order information, and systemperformance of each trade to file to analyze why trades are profitable and unprofitable.
