stop order in case of network loss

I have a strategy that uses a trailing stop to decide if it need to close the current stop and reverse the position. My question is that I want to submit a stop market order to CME in case of a network loss and change the stop price with the update of trailing stop. Since this stop order is submitted to CME, even there is a network loss, my current position will still be closed if it hits the stop price. Is my understanding correct? And Is there any sample code?

Hello Playdc,

Yes, once an order is working on the exchange it will continue working on the exchange until it fills.

This is the same as if you call your broker on the phone and place a stop order.
