AddChartIndicator RSI

I'm adding RSI indicator in my strategy:
AddChartIndicator(this.RSI(14, 1));

How can I add additional parameters such as lower and upper (with other values)?

Hello mbcito,

The RSI included with NinjaTrader only has two inputs, the Period and the Smooth.

The Upper and Lower are lines that are set to 30 and 70 in the code.

If you wanted inputs for these you would need to make a copy of the RSI indicator and add your own public inputs.

The AddLine() calls would need to be moved to State.Configure if you want the value parameter supplied from an added input.


Instead of adding additional parameters as you requested, you might consider assigning the indicator to a variable so you can modify properies.

private RSI myRSI;

In OnStateChange():

{
myRSI = RSI(14, 1);
myRSI.Lines[0].Value = 10;
myRSI.Lines[1].Value = 50;
