Could it be possible that having both {ExitLong() and ExitShort()} together may be "cancelling out". How may I change the logic to if(Position == Long) {ExitLong()}?

Calling ExitLong() and ExitShort() at the same time is not going to cause an issue. There is only one position and the exit method that doesn't match the position will be ignored.
