Can't select an indicator value in Strategy Builder.

I have noticed a possible scalping strategy and want to test it. The idea is to enter a trade on the open if the previous bar closes on one side or the other of a moving average. (Yes, I know that sounds ridiculous.) When I try to set it up in Strategy Builder, the previous bar's close is available, but the indicator is grayed out. It isn't some weird average that takes a few bars to catch up. The value is available on the close. Why does this happen, and how can I correct it? Thanks.

Can you post a screenshot of what you mean by "the indicator is greyed out"?

Is this a third-party indicator, or a system indicator?
