Ninja Trader, (or anyone else with an opinion)

Is it more efficient to call another indicators value from within your strategy or duplicate the same login within a given strategy... provided the logic isn't too complicated.

I wonder if there is even a material difference as far as the overall effect on processing and time to calculate.

Thank you for your post.

It is best practice to call the indicator within the strategy instead of duplicating / reusing code unnecessarily. It also helps improve the code's readability.
