On bar close and on price change.

I am working on a strategy that utilizes 3 indicators. Do all of them have to be calculated either on bar close or on price change? Preferably I would like two of the indicators to be calculated on price change because they are not lagging indicators and have the third calculate on bar close. Is that possible or would it be better to use either or?

Hello Adanni,

All indicators would use the same Calculate setting as the host strategy.

You could choose to call the indicator from the strategy when IsFirstTickOfBar is true to only allow this to update after a bar has closed when using Calculate.OnPriceChange/.OnEachTick.
Or you could choose to code the indicator to only set values when IsFirstTickOfBar is true.
