Is it imperative to restart NinjaTrader after ever session or can it be restarted every week?

That really depends on the broker you are using, if your broker maintains a stable connection and does not have maintenance times you can leave the platform running for as long as you are trading. For brokers with maintenance windows you may need to reconnect or restart occasionally. This also relates to what you have imported, if you have third party items that are programmed poorly and degrade performance you may need to restart more frequently.
