Strategy Trades not staying on the Chart

Hi,
I am backtesting a strategy on market replay, and when the trade is active it shows on the chart, but it doesn't stay on the chart so I can look back at them.

I understand that you are running a script in real-time on a chart with Playback. (Backtest is historical data in the Strategy Analyzer)

When disconnecting from the Playback, or when adjusting the time of the playback this will reset the playback account.

May I confirm you are not disconnecting from the Playback connection or adjusting the time and that the strategy is still enabled?

Sorry yes I am on the playback and not disconnecting from it. Im not using the analyzer.

Do you see the executions on the Executions tab of the Control Center?

The strategy is still enabled and yes they show up on the exuctuions tab. What do you mean by rewinding it? It set back in time, but do you mean have I rewound it while its going right now?

Hello Adam,

I'm referring to the slider on the Playback controller. If this is slid to the left, the playback account is reset.
However, this would mean the executions would not be shown on the executions tab of the Control Center.

To confirm, the executions are made by the strategy using regular order methods (and not through the addon approach or atm strategy methods)?

May I have a screenshot of the executions tab and a screenshot of the chart?

Hello Clevchin,

This may be the wrong chart. The strategy on this chart is disabled (noted by the (D) before the strategy name), which would mean you would not be able to see the executions unless the strategy is removed from the chart.

Which chart has the strategy that was never disabled?

Sorry I had two stratgies listed in my settings with one enabled and disabled. I only have the enabled one on now.

It looks like the playback slider is all the way to left. Did you disconnect and reconnect or slide the slider to the left?

Are you certain this is the strategy instance that placed the orders?

Do you see the executions in the Strategy Performance > ApexPsStrategy > Realtime > Executions display?

Its placing orders no with it being the only one active right now, but I do not see the executions in the Strategy Performance > ApexPsStrategy > Realtime > Executions display

Hello Clevchin,

If there are no executions in the Strategy Performance window, this strategy has not placed any orders that have filled yet.

You will need to run through the playback again. Then don't disable the strategy or adjust the playback time and the executions will remain on the chart.

If you want to save the executions, you can save the grid contents of the Strategy Performance window Executions display.

ok i just disconnected and reconnected to the the playback connection and enabled the strategy without touching the playback bar and now I'm rerunning the test but it did the same thing with the first 2 trades. does it matter the speed i run the playback on?

Does it matter that the trade sl and tp are set with an atm setup and not right in the strategy?

Hello Clevchin,

I had inquiried if the orders were being submitted through the addon approach or with Atm strategy methods in post # 6 but did not receive information in your reply.

Orders submitted through an Account or with Atm strategy methods are not seen by the strategy and will not appear on the chart while a NinjaScript strategy is on the chart.

"Executions from ATM Strategies will not have an impact on the hosting NinjaScript strategy position and PnL - the NinjaScript strategy hands off the execution aspects to the ATM, thus no monitoring via the regular NinjaScript strategy methods will take place (also applies to strategy performance tracking)"
